| Ben is a Birmingham born songwriter who has been performing and recording for 20 years. His music is an earthy blend of British and American folk styles expressed through rapid fire fingerpicked guitar and a unique heartworn vocal delivery. Often compared to Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle and Shane Macgowan Ben's songs convey the hurts , joys and absurdities of life, often informed by his Welsh/Romany Gypsy heritage.( Ben is a direct descendant of King Esau and Queen Henty of the Black Patch Gypsies.)
